Therefore I haven’t had time to write new reviews, much less the time to watch anime or complete any VN’s to review.

My deepest apologies to any loyal readers, I’ve been absent for a while and extremely busy for a number of reasons. There’s also nothing weird, no tentacles, no sex toys, no rape. It’s quite artistic and doesn’t detract from the scene but also keeps it from being too sexually focused. There’ll be a hand grabbing air, or an open mouth, that kinda stuff.

Not saying everybody’s got action figure genitals (I hope you know what I mean, like, where there’s just a smooth surface and nothing else) it’s just that nothing is actually shown. It’s not like actual H-Manga where stuff is censored, it’s just not there to begin with. But if you understand what I’m talking about, and hopefully you do, then I hope you enjoy this manga as much as I did. I’d say read the first volume, if you don’t like it then you won’t like the rest of it. I could go on and on but with such a short story it’s really not necessary. These characters are meant to be flawed and it’s only when they are quite literally laid bare that you understand why. The H-scenes are portrayed differently depending on the characters’ mental states and it’s also part of how the story progresses. There really is something special about the characters here, sex happens pretty regularly but it’s simpler moments like a kiss or grabbing a hand that have such emotional gravity. I was happily surprised at the depth of the characters and they’re development throughout the four volumes of Velvet Kiss. Unfortunately a massive debt has befallen his unlucky soul and in order to keep the debt frozen, he is told he must befriend Kanoko (pictured above), a young lady of the upper class. The protagonist here is Nitta Shin, a middle class office worker. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, this manga here has lots of SEX in it! Is that a bad thing? Well you’ll never find out if you don’t read my review. Of course it’s not like this is the first manga I’ve ever read, and for those of you familiar with the name, know that I do NOT consider this manga a hentai. Some may say that I’ve made a rather strange selection for my first manga review, but I review what I feel is worth reviewing.
